A General Update

I apologies that once again my blogging has turned to the dogs. This term has been more than a bit of a roller coaster ride. I got back from Christmas on top of the world and I had a positive outlook on life. I know that shortly I have to leave my home and will be moving to the UK on a more permanent basis so I knew that thinking that I could just sit it out until I got to go home again was not the most ideal way to think about things. It worked for a while and then the degree sunk in. For those of you who don't know I study physics and sometimes I have no idea why. I don't always get a kick out of it and I find the work load simply insane. Other times I adore it, like this morning: we froze and apple in liquid helium and then smashed it to smithereens. Only it doesn't smash in the way you think an apple would, you're left with actual pieces that the boys proceeded to kick around like miniature footballs.
My work load has gone through the roof as well and I've started to hate half the things I do in my life. I haven't had any time to relax and actually enjoy life because I have the guilt conscience. I start thinking that the time I'm spending not working I could be working and then I feel even more shit because I know that I haven't done near what I need to have done. Can you see the negative spiral right there?
Consequently this means that I haven't felt like I could blog because I should be doing my work. Even right now I don't feel like I should be writing this out but I left my maths at home by mistake and my mate told me to just chill for a few before our next lecture. I know subsequently that I won't finish this post before I have to leave and I will then have to finish it later and it will be in haste and not the way I want it to be. I can't even say that I've been up to anything exciting because well I haven't. A couple of weeks ill and working hard has left me rather half a person.
I've replaced most of what I had in my life with the gym now I'm on Easter holidays but I'm pretty sure that there has to be more to life than what is lying in front of me.
If you guys have any ideas then please let me know? I'm happy to try anything!

Six Nations

Yup its that time of year again. The beautiful six nations are back and I can't even try to contain the excitement.
However, how will we do this year? With a new coach, Lancaster, and a new completely inexperienced team, is this the make or break of the England team? Can they live up to the prestigious name or are they about to kill it?
Well thirty minutes in and there have been so many mistakes merely made through inexperience. The captain, Robshaw, has already been in a fight and there are fumbles left right and centre. I thought that I'd be watching some top quality rugby but to be honest this is just shameful. The game is most definitely not what I was expecting at all.
The game is very flat and uninspiring. Even the crowd and the commentators aren't impressed. International rugby is suppose to be the next step up and the basic skills just do not seem to be present within the game.
Having said that the second half of the game was much better and England just scraped a win or rather Scotland lost the game. It's definitely going to be an interesting six nations.

Help me?

Ok so I know this isn't really what I like to do with my blog and with my 21st looming tomorrow I can't quite believe that I'm about to do this but I am. I remember how much I love this sport and how much I love my team. They mean the absolute world to me so actually yes, yes I am going to do this.
We're trying to win some kit for the team but we really need some help. If you have a few moments please can you like the following page:

ArchLevel Lacrosse

and then like the following picture:

Lancs Lacrosse

It doesn't take much out of your day to do it and it really does mean the world to me. I hope we can win this!

I'm going to post in the next few days anyway because it's my 21st tomorrow so either way talk to you all so soon!!

Thank you from not only me but the whole team!
So much love!

New Addition to the Family

I've travelled my way back across the duck pond to head back to university. This time I've come back in a much better state of mind. I"m laughing and singing again, dancing my way down the streets and always have a huge smile of my face. I have desperately missed this. I can't explain why this happens to me, the depression and unhappiness, but I love it when I love life so I guess there is always a silver lining to these dark clouds. I'm on top of the world and on top of everything,
There's one down side to all of this and that is that I am single. Now I know a lot of you will say that that is no downside! I actually agree with you because being single allows you to be completely selfish and to thrive in whatever it is you want to thrive in your own life with. However, it isn't human to want to be single or to not share your life with someone. I need company and I don't mean the company of the other lives living in this house with me, I mean true companionship who will love me irregardless of how I am. Irregardless of whether I walk in in a frenzy or if I walk in bouncing off the walls.
So how did I solve this problem. Well may I introduce you to Charlie <3

She is the cutest thing I have ever met and I am completely in love. I can hear her now scrambling around in her cage. It hasn't been smooth sailing just to let you know. She's a little bubbas and she's flightish. The first day I thought I was going to loose her down the back of the radiator as she flew herself out of my hands. Her wheel also squeaked like there was no tomorrow but I fixed by rubbing a little bit of butter so it ran smoothly again,
Now I know a lot of you may ask about the name but there is in fact a small story behind it. If you've been reading my blog before then you will know that I am a physicist.  There's a penomina in Physics called Impedence which is a little bit like resistance and the units are Henrys. Yes the most ridiculous name for a unit right? A Henry. Anyway my good friend Simon managed to persuade me that it was a Charlie. I laughed at him and told him not to joke and that I really wanted to know what the units were. He told me not to be an idiot and that they really were a Charlie. So for about two weeks I wrote Charlie on all of my work until a phD student asked me what I was doing?
Its been a on going joke ever since and when I was think of names I knew I wanted to name her after something in physics. I thought of Joule at first but I settled on Charlie and I think Charlie suits her perfectly.
I am totally in love and I promise to send you regular Charlie updates if you would like them!
Do any of you have little ones to keep you company? If so please let me know? I would love to meet them all,
Much love,
Nashxx

The Week Before Christmas

Ok so I think I'm finally caught up enough to start blogging like a normal person. Before I get any further though, if you do like my blog please follow? I wouldn't normally pledge for followers because this is my space and I'm going to continue regardless of how popular I am but I get comments from people saying lovely lovely things and if you like it so much then please hit the follow button??

So I left uni in a clatter of pieces, quite literally, but I did manage to make it as far as my aeroplane and I was finally on my way home. The flight I took was a day time flight so unfortunately I was awake for most of it despite the fact that you land at 7am and you don't end up sleeping for a ridiculously long time. However, one of the brilliant things about this is that you get to see the beautiful sunrise over asia. I can't tell you if I got excited about this because of the artist in me or because of the physicist in me but I got excited about it nevertheless. I pulled my slightly dying SLR out of the bag and I just had to take a photo of it. Its not the best because I kept being told to sit back in my seat for landing and there was a lot of reflection in the window but I think you will agree that it is a breathtaking sight.

The first week back was a completely surreal experience. I was out the first night for dinner, but in true Nash style I didn't go straight to dinner. I went to dinner via another dinner so that I could say happy birthday to one of my besties. She really appreciated it actually because a lot of people just let her down They either didn't turn up at all or cancelled last minute, but I bothered to go even though I had a family dinner. Shows you who your true friends are eh?

Her actually birthday party was the second night back was her actual birthday party. The theme was circus. Now having just flown into a different country I was a little bit like ah. In the end I went as a gypsy fortune teller. I bought an outfit for a fiver from a jumble store and just went for it. I feel a little bad about putting photos up of my friends without their permission but I know they'll love me anyway.
We started on the roof of IFC. If you don't know hk very well, well trust me IFC is one of the most famous building out there. If you wait for my New Years post then I will show you lots and lots of photos of it because that's where we are starting. However when we were walking thought we spotted the Christmas Tree. Now Hong Kong doesn't like to do things by half measures so below is a picture of the giant Christmas Tree. Notice how it is just a Christmas Tree, oh no, its an installation of Santa Claus carrying a Christmas Tree and its not just an old Christmas Tree, oh no, its a Christmas Tree made out of presents. Sometimes I just don't know, they outdo themselves every time!

We had a lot of crazy outfits including a clown, a typerop walker, a magician and of course the ring leaders but here is a photo of the birthday girl herself, my mate Chris and well me!

Thursday night we had the annual Santathon. Santathon is where everyone dresses up in crazy Christmas related costumes and the money goes toward Project Santa. It also means that we can have another crazy night as a group of friends. I know New Year hasn't happen yet but this was probably the best night of my holiday. It was just incredible, we had such a good time as a group of friends. I went as a snowman, I even had the buttons sewn onto my t-shirt! One of my mates went as a unicorn(pictured), my brother went as the traditional Santa(pictured) and one of my friends went as a present. it was truly brilliant!

Christmas Day itself started out brilliant. I got some really lovely presents and if you want to see what they all were then please leave me a comment below and I'll do a post about them, otherwise I'm not going to bother. The only downside to Christmas Day was the slight death of our boat. We've had a boat for the entirety of my existence, which means that I've also been water skiing etc my entire life. So we had planned to go water skiing on Christmas Day. We meandered down to Aberdeen (pictured below) and went round to put some more petrol in the tank. Thirty litres later we noticed a very strong smell of petrol and a wet hull. To our horror the 22 year old piping had split and the petrol had not gone anywhere near the petrol tank but all over the inside of the boat. We had to wait for another boat to come along and tow it back to the boat shed, where it was lifted up to see how bad the damage was. Now I want to you imagine an elephant going to the toilet, that's what it looked like. Petrol was just pooring out of the hull. We were all speechless and heartbroken because that boat is part of the family. I have since been assured that it will survive and is in boat hospital having a quadruple heart by-pass and will be in ICU for a while but it will be ok.
A little worse for weather we still went round to Middle Island for some chips, yes for our Christmas lunch we had fat chips and mayonnaise with Gunners for refreshment.

Before you all worry we did have a proper Christmas Dinner. My mother cooked enough to feed the five thousand so there's rather a lot of food on the table but it was all very much appreciated!! My brother is in the picture with the Christmas dinner below.

What did you guys get up to? I'd very much like to hear all about any antics or mishaps that happened over you Christmas. Hope you liked the blog!
